West-MEC’s high school Welding Program offers a comprehensive introduction to Welding Technology, and students gain hands-on experience with various welding techniques. Learn skills in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes, setting the foundation for a successful career in welding.

Requirements
& Fees

  • Current sophomores & juniors may apply.
  • Must have 1 credit of English and Math with a C or better
  • Required: unofficial transcript, copy of birth certificate, immunizations/State Exemption Form, and proof of residency in the West-MEC district boundaries
  • $550 registration fee ($150 non-refundable) includes shirt, supplies, welding kit, helmet, and CTSO Membership
  • Families are responsible for providing transportation to and from West-MEC
